Each Fold Doubles the Holes
One fold + one hole = 2 holes when unfolded. Each fold doubles the count.
Tip: Two folds: up to 4 holes. Three folds: up to 8.
Holes Mirror Across Each Fold Line
When you unfold, each hole appears on BOTH sides of the fold line, the same distance away.
Tip: Trace each fold backwards; for each one, mirror every existing hole.
Watch the Fold Direction
A vertical fold and a horizontal fold produce DIFFERENT unfolded results, even with the same punch.
Tip: Always check whether the fold is left-right (vertical) or up-down (horizontal).
Holes On a Fold Line Don't Double
If a hole sits exactly on a fold line, the two sides land on top of each other when unfolded.
Tip: It still appears as one hole, not two — count edges, not naive doubles.
